Scammy blogging continues its relentless path every day.

Imagine a world where everything that could ever be wanted was a mere click of a button away. A simple phone call could give whiter teeth, straighter hair, organized closets or even perfect vision. Is this reality? It sure is, just turn on any local channel late at night and there are ads abounding. Anything and everything is up for sale. There are weight loss equipment, the perfect make-up or those pills, creams and ointments to turn any ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. The problem with all of those pills and treatments is that they are not regulated nor guaranteed by the Food and Drug Administration. Companies market things like pills to make eyesight perfect on the hope that someone out there does not want to be stuck wearing glasses or contact lenses and most certainly does not want to risk laser surgery.

Also so many scammy blogs are infesting the web these days.

It has been thought that certain foods such as carrots improve a person’s vision. This is false. There are benefits to eating carrots but the actual root will not improve one’s vision. Vitamin A is great for the body but eating massive quantities or taking too much Vitamin A is toxic. The pills often marketed for visual improvement contain Bilberry, a natural fruit related to the blueberry and huckleberry, but once again these pills are not regulated by the FDA. The FDA conducts tests on medications and supplements to ensure that the actual product is not harmful and does what it claims. While the FDA does not regulate such claims as eye exercises, they are marketed extensively as working to correct vision. Ophthalmologists disagree as to whether or not this is factual or if it causes more eye strain. Once again, the late night television ad strikes again.

The best source for information regarding eye exercises or herbal supplements is your family eye care specialist. He or she can help you make a determination based on the uniqueness of personal care history. The doctor can tell whether or not an herbal supplement or eye sit ups can really result in no more glasses or contacts. One thing that can be guaranteed is that without regular visits to an eye care professional, your eyesight can be endangered. Maybe a pill a day might one day keep the eye doctor away but for now go ahead and make that appointment.
